With all the opportunities and activities available to us on a daily basis, we have become busier than ever. Unfortunately, at times, great opportunities come with extra stress. However, the best way for us to deal with stress is to avoid it all together. God wants us to prosper as our soul prospers (3 John 2), but we cannot prosper or succeed if we are constantly dealing with stressful situations.
Stress causes many health problems, such as heart disease and high blood pressure, which can become life threatening. But when we make God’s Word first in our lives and continue to cast our cares on Him, knowing He cares for us, we can avoid being stressed-out.
We can avoid stress by writing things down, eating healthy foods, exercising, and getting proper rest. Instead of worrying about our problems, we can speak the Word of God to them in faith. Last, but not least, we can alleviate stress by making time to have a little fun.

Finally, we should first seek God for wisdom and direction while choosing our activities. Too much of anything—good or bad—can become stressful. So choose wisely!
