Publisher's Statement

There is no denying the seriousness of the times in which we are living. Second Timothy 3:1-5 describes all the things that characterize these last days, with selfishness being the order of the day. Additionally, with seduction and deception running rampant, now more than ever, it is going to be critical to our survival—both spiritually and from a natural perspective—to be able to hear from God. Having your spiritual ears tuned to the voice of the Lord is your most valuable asset as a Believer.

Jesus is coming back for His Church! That’s good news if you are ready. The Bible talks about the rapture of the Church and how the trumpet of God will sound, signaling this glorious event. I used to wonder what this divine call would sound like! I can’t say that I know for sure, but one thing I do know is that it will only be heard by those who know God’s voice for themselves. And developing your spiritual hearing only comes by spending time in the Word of God and practicing His presence.

Some people wonder, “What does God’s voice sound like?” Well, quite simply, it sounds like His Word. The Word of God speaks in the tone of God’s voice. And as you spend more time reading and meditating on the Scriptures, they will begin to speak to you. You will know when God is speaking to you because what you hear will sound like His Word.

The things God speaks to you will also always line up with the Word of God (and the heartbeat of God) and will give life to the things you read in the Bible. The spoken, or rhema, Word of God will never go against God’s principles or method of operation, nor will He speak in a condemning voice. God is love, and His Word will always be consistent with His character and nature. His goal is to lead you in paths of perfect peace and ultimate prosperity in every level of your life. The things God speaks to you will always take you to the next level in some way.

Because hearing from God is such an important facet of being a Christian, the articles in this issue of CHANGE focus on developing your ability to hear the voice of God, and the importance of obeying what you hear. In addition, Taffi’s article on parenting will give parents insight on the importance of disciplining their children according to the Word of God. You will also find informative articles on creating an inner image of prosperity and preventing diabetes and heart disease.

Taffi and I are thrilled about the exciting time in which we are living. You have been called to impact this world with the gifts God has placed inside of you, and He wants to guide you by speaking to you directly. Get in on what God is doing and allow Him to use you like never before!
