For this issue, I had the opportunity to speak with Pam, a member of World Changers Church International (WCCI), about a tragic incident that threatened her life. Pam is living proof that the Word of God works! This is her testimony:
One day, after having lunch with a close friend, the two of us were walking back to work when another co-worker (someone my friend had previously dated) called her from behind. She turned and walked toward him, and they began talking. After a brief conversation, they started walking toward me. As we all strolled back to work, we began to laugh and joke about finishing up the day, and how we were looking forward to the weekend. All of a sudden, our co-worker pulled out a gun and shot my friend in the back of the head, and kept shooting her as I stood watching in horror, screaming as loud as I could. But he didn’t stop. It was like he (the shooter) was possessed with an evil spirit. He appeared not to hear me or even see me standing there. When he finally stopped shooting my friend, he turned the gun on himself and took his own life. In the midst of all of this, I remembered Pastor Dollar’s sermons on angelic protection. At that moment, I realized I was protected, and I was not going to be harmed. As a matter of fact, I was dressed in white that day, and not a single drop of blood touched my clothes. God’s Word truly works! As a result of this experience, the devil tried to take my sanity. But I continued to declare: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper!” I also began to listen to Pastor Dollar’s sermons on fear. Now I can boldly declare, “No fear here!” I went back to work a few months after the shooting incident, and I am happy to report that I am confidently living the wonderful, long life God has blessed me with. Thank you, Pastor Dollar, for teaching the Word the way you do. I witnessed a horrible act, which could have also taken my life, but—praise God—I escaped death! The truth is, I am more than a conqueror, and I have the victory! -Pam*

When something terrible happens to you suddenly, you definitely need something to hold on to. The Word of God was what Pam held on to in the midst of danger.
During the aftermath of the tragic death of her friend, Pam had to fight hard not to be consumed by fear and anxiety. Besides spending time with God, she found scriptures on fear, meditated on them, and spoke them out loud. In time, she gained the strength to overcome fear and move on with her life.
