Grace is God’s divine power (2 Peter 1:3). It is His empowerment to do all we need to do to live successfully as Christians. That divine power is available to also help us overcome financial lack. Many times we struggle to fix what is wrong in our lives, often eliminating God in the process. Our own efforts usually leave us frustrated and fruitless. However, there is a more effective way to live. It is by grace. God has made His grace available to us. However, we must believe that He will give us the grace we need if we ask for it.
Many people today need grace to have their financial needs meet. Second Corinthians 9:8, in the Amplified Bible, says: “God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.]” According to this scripture, God is able to make all grace increase toward us so that we always have all sufficiency in all things, and increase in every good work. Therefore, there is a grace available to us that enables us to eliminate lack in our lives, not only financially but in every other area of life as well.
How do we access this grace? First of all, we must understand that grace is God’s divine power given to us freely. It is the empowerment that God bestows upon us, and we do not have to earn it. It is a free gift. The only thing we need to access His grace is faith.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. For example, when I became a born-again Christian, it was in response to hearing the Word of God preached about salvation. Then I made a decision to turn from my sins. I confessed with my mouth and believed in my heart that Jesus died for me, and I asked Him to come into my life. I received my salvation by grace through faith. The same manner in which we received our salvation is the same way we will receive everything else we need in the kingdom of God (Ephesians 2:8, 9). We do so by grace through faith.
When we begin to gain understanding of the Word concerning financial provision, we will begin to increase in faith. Once we begin to increase in faith, we will begin to receive the wisdom we need to increase financially. In this way, we are ultimately empowered by Him to gain financial provision. Additionally, this process will work in every area of our lives. It is by grace through faith that we obtain the promises of God concerning our overall well-being.
One of the ways we receive revelation from the Word is through meditation of the Word. And one of the ways we meditate upon the Word is by speaking the Word. When we hear ourselves repeat the Word of God concerning our finances, we increase in faith.
To begin to see a change in your finances, begin to declare and decree that God is able to make all grace increase toward you and that you always, under all circumstances, have whatever you need to be self-sufficient! Confess that you have abundant life by grace through faith! I believe if you stay in faith by confessing the Word and hearing the Word, your faith will increase, and your lack will begin to cease.
